Read Horn of Africa provides free education for over 1101 students aged between 5-21 years old who attend from Bursalah and surrounding area. We have been supporting this project since 1999. The school is based in Bursalah which is very close to the border between Ethiopia and Somalia in Puntland State , Somalia . These children include orphans, street children and children from poor nomadic families.

PRMIARY SCHOOL: was opened in 2001, and is currently providing education for 991 children, who attend classes 1-8. The school has brought the local community together as it gave a common benefit to their children regardless of their clan origin or gender.

SECONDARY SCHOOL: the first group of secondary school students started their schooling in September 2007. There are currently 110 pupils who are taking secondary school classes of years 9-12.We have completed the building of the secondary school in 2009, however, the secondary school children are still using the primary school premises as there is lack of resources to furnish and equip the new school building.
