Read Horn of Africa is a charitable organisation whose aim is to relieve poverty through education, crime reduction and capacity building programmes.

The charitable organisation is based in the UK. It has a very wide network of supporters mainly from the Somali Community Diaspora in almost all over the world especially in mainland Europe, North America, Middles East, East Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Read Horn of Africa works in partnership with Burar Project NGO based in Galkacyo, Puntland State, Somalia.

It is one of the most cost effective charitable organisations operating in the world due to the fact that 100% of our funds go directly to our charitable activities.

The organisation’s long term strategy is to save children in need and create real and lasting positive change for them.

The history of Read Horn of Africa is one of building a protective environment for children and showing that each community can find solutions and ways to educate its children.

Our approach is to ensure that children learn in a comfortable environment, harmonise with local culture and develop a sense of peace and togetherness.
